Description

Rare large French Art Deco vase by Daum, Croismare, Nancy, France, late 1920s. This remarkable large French Art Deco vase, made by Daum in his Croismare workshop in Nancy, dates from the late 1920s. This vase is made of thick blown glass and features a captivating marbled pattern in rich shades of red, orange, and white, characteristic of the bold and artistic creations of the Art Deco era. At 26.8 cm high and 30 cm in diameter, this vase makes a statement in any room. It is signed “Lorrain” (see photo), as Daum’s Croismare glass pieces were marked with this signature rather than “Daum.” This piece exemplifies the craftsmanship and quality of Daum’s work during the Art Deco period, making it highly sought-after by collectors of French glass and Art Deco design. This type of piece with such decor is rare for Daum. A great achievement.
